Education is a community enterprise. We are fortunate to work shoulder-to-shoulder with equity-minded partners to lift opportunities for youth and families.
Partnerships are at the heart of our work. Over the years, we have been bridging strong partnerships with different stakeholders including educational institutions, service organizations, city, and state partners to amplify student and family voice. LEI Springfield has the great privilege of combining talents from different organizations and high-qualified professionals in our community who join us to support youth and families.
School Administrators and Families.
Every year in classrooms throughout Springfield, we see tremendous effort to engage students. The LEI works closely with teachers, principals and administrators to engage families and deliver high-quality, measurable, and data-driven in-school interventions, after-school and summer learning programs that accelerate learning and build self-confidence and social emotional learning.
Our afterschool programming promotes student engagement and achieves measurable improvements in academics, social-emotional learning, and self-confidence.
Community and Civic Partners.
No single organization can meet the enormous challenge to improve educational outcomes and life opportunities for urban youth. We are eager and proud to partner with CBOs and civic organizations to expand access to high quality learning opportunities.
We humbly serve as knowledge sharer with other mission-focused organizations that view bold reform during the school day and out-of-school-time learning as essential to elevating their broader mission.
In our 5-plus years of service, we have partnered with Springfield Public Schools, Springfield Technical Community College (STCC), Springfield Public Library, AmeriCorps at Springfield College, Springfield Empowerment Partnership Zone (SEZP), Gandara, New England Public Media, SODEXO, Armory Museum, and American Student Association (ASA). We have served South End Middle School (SEMS), John J. Duggan Academy, John F. Kennedy Middle School, Kiley Middle School, High School of Commerce, Impact Middle School, and RISE Academy with programs such as After School, Enrichments, Family Advancing Community Empowerment in Springfield (FACES), Math Intervention, and Dual Enrollment (Early College).

Each year the LEI serves over 300 students in Springfield demonstrating increased student engagement and achievement. Bold innovation requires generous support and we are grateful to American Student Assistance (ASA) for their generous support over a 3-year period that will help the LEI transform our delivery model to increase our impact.
We appreciate the thought and implementation partnership with the Springfield Empowerment Zone. Our ability to co-implement and dream together opens horizons and opportunities for youth and families.
